Overview
The Social Media Intern plays a key role in supporting Kindred Curiosity’s marketing and storytelling efforts across social media and events. Reporting to the Marketing Director and working closely with our graphic designer and events team, this internship is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, and excited to learn how storytelling and social media help bring people together.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Project Coordination

Support the planning and coordination of marketing initiatives by tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables

Assist in managing the social media content calendar with monthly goals and priorities

Coordinate with the Marketing Director, graphic designer, and event team to ensure campaigns stay on track and aligned
Social Media Support & Execution

Assist with day-to-day execution of social media content across platforms, primarily Instagram

Help ensure brand consistency across copy, visuals, tone, and voice

Contribute content ideas that highlight community stories, events, and values

Support engagement efforts by responding to comments and messages as needed

Help track basic performance metrics and contribute to monthly recap reports
Content & Event Storytelling

Support event coverage through IG stories, posts, and short-form video

Assist with curating and organizing content from events, behind-the-scenes moments, and team activities

Collaborate with the events team to support event promotion and post-event storytelling

Support Content Series through outreach coordination, interview documentation, and content preparation

Prior work, internship, volunteer, or school experience in marketing or social media

Familiarity with Instagram content formats such as posts, stories, and reels

Experience using or interest in project management tools like ClickUp or Asana

Passion for Asian Diaspora stories and community spaces
