Executive Director
Vivian Thai

Vivian is thrilled to be the founding Executive Director for Kindred Curiosity, channeling her passion into cultivating a space where individuals gather the courage to take action towards personal growth within a supportive community. Aligned with Kindred Curiosity's vision and mission, Vivian believes in the transformative power of curiosity, unlocking opportunities, and gaining fresh perspectives through shared learning experiences. Since 2017, she has dedicated her time to various non-profits in the Bay Area, holding diverse roles to contribute to the community. Concurrently, she works as a Program Manager in Sales Operations at Snowflake. Vivian’s innate curiosity extends beyond her professional endeavors; she delights in connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, finding inspiration in their unique narratives. Vivian likes to begin her day with her skincare routine and a homemade cup of matcha latte. Beyond her morning rituals, she embraces her passion for wine, evolving into an aspiring wine geek through the WSET. Vivian is also an avid traveler who delights in learning languages before embarking on her journey abroad.

Community & Programming Director
Tiffany Cook

Tiffany is honored to serve as the Community and Programming Director at Kindred Curiosity, where she helps foster spaces that spark meaningful dialogue, connection, and self-discovery, especially among Asian women. She is passionate about designing experiences that encourage community care, curiosity, and collective growth. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Tiffany made the courageous decision to move to the U.S. alone at age 15 to pursue greater educational opportunity. With the support of her aunt Kitty—an inspiring tech executive and lifelong mentor—Tiffany found her footing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from UC Davis, with minors in Psychology and Public Health. Her background reflects a love for numbers, strategic thinking, and a deep interest in human connection. Kitty often reminds Tiffany, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” a belief that continues to guide her purpose. Today, Tiffany serves as a youth mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area and is deeply committed to giving back to the communities that raised and supported her. Tiffany is a Senior Campaign Manager at LG Ads Solution, leading advertising strategies for major brands. Raised by strong women and continually inspired by their stories, she is committed to helping the next generation of women grow with confidence, connection, and curiosity. She also enjoys dancing, traveling, and trying new restaurants and cafes with her friends.

Marketing Director
Serina Lui

Serina is excited to continue her journey with Kindred Curiosity as the Marketing Director. She started out as the Social Media Coordinator with a passion for wanting to foster a community of like-minded women and creating content/events that resonate with Kindred Curiosity followers. She remains dedicated to fostering a space where women of Asian Diaspora feel seen, celebrated, and empowered. Through storytelling, cultural exploration, and career-driven initiatives, she aims to bring even more representation, inspiration, and connection to the community.

Partnership & Outreach Director
Madeleine Zheng

Madeleine is incredibly grateful to be the Partnerships and Outreach Director at Kindred Curiosity, where she’s passionate about cultivating spaces that empower Asian women to explore, connect, and grow together. She believes that curiosity — especially when shared within a community — can spark both personal transformation and collective belonging. Originally from Arizona, Madeleine took a nontraditional path from biochemistry to the tech world, and is excited to share her experiences with other women looking to break into tech. As the first business hire outside of leadership at LightSource, she helped scale the company from pre-seed to Series A/B, leading initiatives in APAC global expansion, business operations, and partnerships. She thrives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and impact - bringing both people and ideas together around a shared vision. Beyond her career, Madeleine is deeply rooted in service and mentorship. She co-founded CiviTutors (2020-2022), a 501c(3) non profit organization that provided free tutoring resources to over 100 students during the pandemic including Arizona foster care youth. Now in San Francisco, Madeleine is also an active sophomore math instructor volunteer for Minds Matter Bay Area. On the weekends, you can find Madeleine going on long runs throughout San Francisco, cooking homey meals for friends, and enjoying poetry in various parks around the city.

Sr. Graphic Designer

Catherine Wu
Cat is excited to begin her journey as a Designer for Kindred Curiosity. She thrives in environments that foster creativity, curiosity and innovation. With a profound belief in the power of curiosity and learning, she considers these attributes as a fundamental source of continuous growth and inspiration. As the Designer for KC, she is eager to contribute to the growth of a community that is united by their shared pursuit of learning and curiosity. Beyond her commitments to KC, she is also a Visual Designer at ThirdLove, as well as a freelance Designer and Illustrator on the side. Cat finds solace and inspiration in a diverse range of interests, from video games and digital media to the tranquility of painting and nature walks, where she often indulges in moments of cloud gazing to recharge her creative spirit.

Graphic Designer

Rachel Wu
Rachel is excited to start a new chapter as a graphic designer at Kindred Curiosity. She loves creating vibrant and playful spaces that connect with Asian women. Moving to the U.S. three years ago without knowing anyone, Rachel faced many challenges but tackled them with courage and curiosity. Her love for exploring new possibilities has guided her journey, including her dream of joining the KC community. She’s passionate about sharing her unique design energy, finding connections, and supporting others while enjoying the community she’s helping to grow. Beyond her role at KC, Rachel studied Web Design & Development at Westcliff University and enjoys expanding her skills in the digital space. She loves combining her problem-solving mindset with her graphic design skills to create meaningful and fun designs. Rachel is a big fan of games with great stories, like Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Last of Us. She spent over 400 hours playing RDR2 and was deeply touched by its ending. She’s not just a gamer but also a proud game contributor, with a game credit to her name—a milestone she’s very proud of. Outside of work and gaming, Rachel enjoys spending time with her two cats, Shuri and Duo Duo, who bring her endless happiness.

Shayla Duong
Shayla is extremely excited to be joining Kindred Curiosity as a Finance and Strategy Intern, bringing her enthusiasm for numbers to support the backend planning of community events and streamlining internal processes. Growing up surrounded by a community of strong Asian women, she has solidified her values of connection and conversation as proponents for empowerment and growth. Shayla is ready to dive head-first into opportunities that KC presents to connect diverse community members and encourage personal development in herself and others. Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management, Shayla balances her academic and professional life with various hobbies. Outside of class she enjoys visiting new cafes, reading, or playing sports like volleyball and swimming. She also finds a creative outlet in her long-time hobbies of baking, cooking, and nail art.
