The Social Media Project Coordinator is a vital role responsible for managing Kindred Curiosity’s marketing initiatives across social media and events. Reporting to the Marketing Director and collaborating closely with our graphic designer, this role requires strong project management skills, creativity, and a passion for storytelling. The Coordinator will ensure campaigns are well-planned, executed on time, and aligned with our brand to engage and grow our community of Women of the Asian Diaspora in the Bay Area.​

 

Responsibilities

 

Marketing Project Management

  • Serve as project manager for marketing initiatives, ensuring tasks and timelines are clearly defined and met

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the social media content calendar with monthly objectives and deliverables

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Director, graphic designer, and event team to ensure cohesive campaign execution


Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Manage day-to-day execution of social media campaigns across platforms

  • Ensure brand consistency in copy, visuals, tone, and voice

  • Curate creative content ideas that reflect community values and highlight stories

  • Create actionable plans to grow engagement and maintain follower relationships

  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance in monthly meetings


Content Creation

  • Plan and oversee event coverage including IG stories, reels, and posts that showcase community moments

  • Capture and curate highlights from events, team outings, and behind-the-scenes content

  • Collaborate with the event team to amplify event promotion and post-event storytelling

  • Spearhead our Small Business Series (cold outreaching, following up, interview doc, content creation, fostering meaningful connections)

 

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience in social media management or marketing coordination

  • Are a proactive communicator who thrives in collaborative, creative environments

  • Have strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to juggle multiple priorities

  • Bring an eye for aesthetics, branding, and design with attention to detail

  • Enjoy weaving digital storytelling with in-person community experiences
     

 

Nice to Haves

  • Passionate about Asian Diaspora experiences and community

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Asana)

  • Experience with growing IG accounts and increasing user engagement

  • General knowledge of SEO and digital content ranking
