Overview
Kindred Curiosity is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team and help bring our mission to life through thoughtful, engaging visual design. You'll create graphics that support our events, programs, and organizational initiatives while helping strengthen our brand and connect with our community.
Working closely with the Marketing Team, you'll transform ideas into visually compelling designs that not only look great but also communicate clearly, encourage engagement, and amplify the stories and voices of Women of the Asian Diaspora.

Key Responsibilities
Brand & Design:

Translate creative direction into high-quality designs that align with Kindred Curiosity's brand.

Design engaging digital and print materials, including social media graphics, event marketing assets, newsletters, presentations, and other promotional materials.

Create designs that communicate clearly, strengthen our brand, and encourage community engagement.

Maintain consistency across Kindred Curiosity's visual identity and brand guidelines.
Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative solutions that support events, campaigns, and organizational initiatives.

Contribute creative ideas that strengthen storytelling, audience engagement, and brand awareness.

Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders while meeting project deadlines.

Stay up to date with design trends and bring fresh ideas that enhance Kindred Curiosity's visual storytelling.
Qualifications

2+ years of experience (academic and/or professional) with Figma and other design tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and articulate design concepts

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
You’d be a great fit if you:

Passionate about Women of the Asian Diaspora, their experiences, and building meaningful community

1-2 years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

Experienced with project management tools (i.e. ClickUp, Asana, Slack, etc.)

Location: SF Bay Area

Ability to attend in-person events throughout the Bay Area is preferred.

Estimated time commitment: Ranging from 15-20 hours per month

Volunteer term will go until December 2027
