Community & Programming Lead

Overview

The Community & Programming Lead oversees the planning and execution of programs and community management initiatives at Kindred Curiosity. This role emphasizes crafting engaging programs, managing event logistics, and developing a pilot membership program to enhance involvement and support of our mission.

 

  • Estimated time commitment: Ranging from 15-20 hours per month

  • Volunteer term options: until December 2025 or December 2026

  • Location: SF Bay Area

  • Application Deadline: November 24, 2024

 

Key Responsibilities 

Program Planning and Execution:

  • Design and implement a variety of programs and events that align with Kindred Curiosity’s mission and strategic goals.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful program delivery and maximize community impact.

 

Event Management:

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of event planning, including venue selection, scheduling, budgeting, and vendor management.

  • Collaboration with marketing and other teams to develop and execute effective event promotion strategies.

 

Feedback and Improvement:

  • Gather and analyze feedback from community members and program participants to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement changes based on feedback to continuously enhance community experiences and program offerings.

 

Membership Program Pilot Development:

  • Create and launch a pilot membership program to build and engage a vibrant community of supporters.

  • Develop membership benefits, engagement strategies, and communication plans to attract and retain members.

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, program management, or community engagement.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing events and programs simultaneously.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and promotion.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

  • Meticulous with strong attention to detail in planning and execution.

  • Creative: Innovative and resourceful in designing engaging programs and events.
